Woo, name change! I too name-changed in the past, from the god-awful username "Supersteph54" to Step.
Heads up, though. Your Facebook and Bandcamp links in your Newgrounds contact info on the left aren't working now!
Aw, i liked Halcyonic Falcon X, but i can understand your reasoning behind changing it. Besides, wasnt this site, like, the only place you were using that name? Im pretty sure ive seen you as Phyrnna everywhere else.
I'm not a fan of well-established names changing their names. I know it's something you have the option to do, and I think for "normal" users (whatever that might be) it doesn't matter, but for those with an established following on their work, I believe it should be done only if there is very good reason.
Consider too that other people might promote you and it could get confusing if someone says "Hey I really like Halcyonic Falcon X" and someone else has trouble finding your work under that name or they have trouble finding it again, or somehow think Phyrnna stole the content, even though you'd be one and the same person. How confusing for fans is it when a band changes their name, for example?
And plus many of us are going to remember you under your former name.
Phyrnna, I know this is unrelated and I'm really sorry about it, but would you allow my group to use some of your music for a competition? It's called Odyssey of the Mind, if you wanted to know. We would be using your music as BGM for our play (which is supposed to be presented like a video game). I understand if you disagree and I'll respect your work, but it would be so awesome if you agreed!
